2020 Census Information

The 2020 Census is more than a population count; it’s an opportunity to shape the future of our community. The Census Bureau is asking everyone to help ensure a complete and accurate count.

Census data is used to draw congressional and state legislative districts, school districts, and voting precincts, as well as distribute $675 billion dollars annually for programs and services like health care, emergency response, schools, housing, and roads and bridges. The federal funding “pie” is divided based on census data.

You can visit the 2020 Census response rate map to see how cities and towns across the country—including yours—are responding to the 2020 Census.
