  • High School Mathematics

    Eldon School District is accepting applications for a 9-12 mathematics position opening for the 2019-2020 school year. Applicants must hold a valid Missouri teaching certificate in Secondary Mathematics. Eldon is a Professional Learning Community and is involved in the High Schools That Work initiative. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this position.   • JAG (Jobs for America’s Graduates) Specialist – Eldon Career Center – 12 mo. position

    Seeking applicants for a JAG Specialist for the year of 2019-20 beginning July 1. The JAG specialist will support students to overcome personal barriers to graduation and workplace transition. Interested candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree and a teaching or counseling certificate. To achieve the expected outcomes, the JAG coordinator will provide targeted youth with employability and life survival skills through classroom instruction, guidance/counseling, academic remediation, work-based learning experiences, year-long leadership activities, and postsecondary advisement. After graduation the JAG specialist will provide support to the student for a twelve-month period. Expectations will include professional development instructor training, supportive relationships with students, communication between students, parents, school staff, and business leaders, maintain data reporting for the grant, and involvement in a student organization.   • Placement Coordinator- Career Center- 9 month plus 10 days

    Eldon Career Center is seeking applications for a Placement Coordinator for the 2019-20 school year. Interested candidates should have knowledge of career and technical education, excellent rapport with students, possess exceptional skills in communication, organization and technology. A degree in any career and technical education field or school counseling is preferred. Responsibilities include serving as liaison between ECC and all six sending schools in the areas of recruitment, enrollment and placement, technical skill assessment and industry recognized credential selection and administration, organization of annual college visits, student scholarships, certificates and awards, partnership with Eldon High School in the areas of advisement, recruitment and career preparation interviews, on-the-job training oversight and remaining current on industry trends and assisting with marketing and social media presence. The placement coordinator also serves as ECC’s lead advisor for the local career and technical student organization, SkillsUSA.

  • Assistant to the Career Center Director- 9 month plus 10 days

    Eldon Career Center is seeking applicants for an Assistant to the Director for the 2019-20 school year. Interested candidates should have a career and technical education background, excellent communication and leadership skills, be team-oriented and exhibit a positive attitude. A master’s degree in education is preferred. Responsibilities include assisting the director with grant and finance management, appropriate DESE career education data collection and reporting, instructor curriculum support and offering of professional development training, dual and articulated credit oversight, organize high-need adult education offerings and management, lead individual student advisement, organize and execute industry tours for teachers and students, provide consortium support and communication, administer career preparation interview processes, maintain a strong marketing and social media presence and develop sustainable relationships with community and business partners.

  • Substitute Custodian Position

    The Eldon School District is seeking hard working, student centered individuals to perform the duties of an evening substitute custodian. This involves lifting items that can weigh over 40 lbs, bending and lifting, mopping and sweeping, restroom upkeep, operating a floor cleaner (large machine),use a ladder and work well with students, staff, and patrons. Pay is $10.70 / hour. Evening custodians are scheduled from 2:00pm-10:00pm. Upon hiring all Eldon R-I staff are required to complete the fingerprinting & background check.
