Career Center Placement Coordinator
Eldon Career Center is seeking applications for a Placement Coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year. Interested candidates should have knowledge of career and technical education, excellent rapport with students, possess exceptional skills in communication, organization, and technology. A degree in school counseling is preferred. Responsibilities include serving as liaison between ECC and all six sending schools in the areas of recruitment, enrollment and placement, industry recognized credential selection and administration, organization of annual college visits, student scholarships, certificates and awards. Additional focus areas for this position are individual student advisement, career preparation interviews, work-based learning oversight, and remaining current on industry trends in career and technical education. This position also has the potential to serve as a co-advisor with the career technical student organization, SkillsUSA.

Special Education Teaching Position
The Eldon School District is accepting applications for a Special Education teaching position. This individual will be responsible for overseeing cross-categorical special education students, maintaining IEPs, and implementing IEP goals. Special education experience is preferred. Applicants must hold a valid Missouri teaching certificate. Maintenance & Groundskeeper Position
The Eldon School District is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance & Groundskeeper to join our district facilities team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring our outdoor spaces—particularly athletic fields—are safe, well-maintained, and ready for student use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and landscaping across district properties.
- Prepare, paint, and maintain high-quality athletic fields for practices, games, and special events.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining the high school football field for home games, including availability to work night events during football season.
- Monitor, operate, and assist with repairs of irrigation and water management systems.
- Inspect and maintain grounds equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Support general maintenance tasks as assigned by the Facilities Director.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, turf management, landscaping, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, troubleshooting, and water efficiency practices.
- Experience working with athletic field layout, striping, and surface preparation.
- Ability to safely operate grounds equipment such as mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles.
- Willingness to work evenings for scheduled athletic events.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
This position is a twelve month position. Current pay starts at $18.61 an hour with the ability to increase per school year.
