Scholar Bowl

Meet the Coach:

Nicholas Dissen, Social Studies Teacher, Scholar Bowl Sponsor

Scholar Bowl is a competition between two teams.  Players use a buzzer system to  score points for their team by being first to answer questions.  Questions cover a wide range of academic topics and are pyramidal.

Eldon’s Scholar Bowl team competes several times a year against Tri-County schools.  These matches are typically held on Thursday evenings after school.  In addition to these competitions we also travel to invitational tournaments on Saturdays.  This gives the team the opportunity to face a wider variety of schools, many with more experienced players.

If you are interested in joining the Scholar Bowl team, see Mr. Dissen. Practices are usually held on Fridays after school in Mr. Dissen’s classroom (103).
