Meet the Coach:
Chris Chambers graduated with B.A., double majoring in English Literature and Creative Writing with a minor in Journalism, from Oswego State University. He participated in student newspaper as well as drama club at Potsdam Central High School in Potsdam, New York. In college, Chris was active as a student reporter for the campus newspaper and in Residence Hall Association. Before beginning his teaching career, Chris was the Marketing Manager for a charitable pharmacy in Mobile, Alabama, where he worked to raise money to provide medication to uninsured patients.
Expectations of Drama Club: “This year we are going to put on great two productions where we will
see many veteran students step up into roles that they have been preparing for throughout their high school careers. I hope to encourage these veterans to mentor the younger students to become better performers and better leaders. I also hope that the community will come out and support our talented student actors, technicians, and crew members who are going to pour everything into ensuring these are plays that the entire town will remember for a long time. We will work together as a team because ‘the show must go on.'”
Expectations of the year: “Overall, I am looking forward to a great year of working with students that are passionate about performing arts. Not all students connect to their school through sports and academics; I am excited to work with any students that want to connect to their school, but have not found the right activity that suits them.”
