Family and Consumer Science
Family and consumer science is composed of multiple courses that cover a variety of topics that prepare students for family life, work life, and careers in family consumer sciences and human services by providing opportunities to develop healthy lifelong skills, attitudes, and behaviors. Topics include child development, cooking and nutrition, personal budgeting, leadership in the community, and living a healthy lifestyle. Hands-on experiences include partnerships with local community businesses, simulations with baby and child care, and real world cooking.
